Once there was a king . He had a jester at his court . The jester was very clever . The king liked him very much . one day the jester played a nasty joke on the king and due to this nasty joke on king the king became very angry on the jester.

The king sentenced him to death . the jester begged the king for mercy but the king did not pardon him but king allowed him to choose his mode of dying .

The jester choose to die of old age . The king was pleased at his cleverness. king pardon the jester.

एक बार एक महान राजा था जो अपने दरबार में जेस्टर (दिल्लगीबाज़) रखता था जो बहुत ही अधिक चतुर था , उसके तेज दिमाग के कारण राजा उस जेस्टर को बहुत अधिक पसंद करता था और अपनी किसी भी समस्या के समाधान के लिए उस जेस्टर से सलाह लेता था |

एक बार हँसी मजाक में जेस्टर ने राजा पर बहुत बुरा चुटकुला सुना दिया जिसको सुनकर राजा आग बबूला हो गया और अपने सिपाहियों को तुरंत उस जेस्टर को गिरफ्तार करके मौत की सजा देने का फैसला सुना दिया |

मौत की सजा सुनकर जेस्टर को अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ और जेस्टर राजा के पैरों में पड़कर अपने जीवन की भीख माँगने लगा |

राजा को भी उस पर कुछ दया आ गयी इसलिए राजा ने जेस्टर को एक छुट दी कि वह अपनी मौत का तरीका खुद चुन सकता है कि वह कैसे मरना पसंद करेगा |

जेस्टर कुछ समय के लिए सोचा और फिर कहा कि “मैं बुढ़ापे अपनी वृद्धावस्था के कारण मरना पसंद करूँगा ”

यह सुनकर राजा कुछ सोचा और फिर मुस्कुराने लगा और उसकी इस चतुराई से काफी खुश हुआ और उसे माफ़ कर दिया |
