question : why is glass considered a supercooled liquid class 12 ?
answer of why is glass considered a supercooled liquid class 12 ?
To answer this question we have to know what is definition of supercooled liquids , the solids which have tendency to flow , although this flow of molecules of such solids is very slow , but after a long time periods when these solids are measured the flow of molecules can be seen very clear.
So now come to the answer of our asked question that why is glass considered a supercooled liquid ?
when we see the glasses which are fix in windows of very old houses or building , we found that the bottom part of these glasses is thick in compare to top part of these glasses , and the cause of this difference of this Thickness of glass is property of glass is considered a supercooled liquid. and due to this property the glass molecule move from top side to bottom side and that is why the Thickness of glass at bottom became more than top. means the glass have the tendency to flow from up to down. so we can say that glass considered a supercooled liquid.
