answer : An amorphous solid are those solids which consists of particles of irregular shape. In amorphous solid, the arrangement of constituent particles which may be atoms , molecules or also ions has only short range order. In such an arrangement , a regular and periodically repeating pattern of constituent particles is observed over short distances only not for long distance. Examples amorphous solids are : glass , rubber, plastics etc.
